Burberry recognised in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index for the third consecutive year

Burberry is proud to announce its inclusion in the 2023 Bloomberg Gender-Equality (GEI) for the third consecutive year, reflecting the Company's commitment to gender equality and transparency.


The 2023 GEI is a modified market capitalization-weighted index developed to gauge the performance of public companies dedicated to reporting gender-related data. This reference index measures gender equality across five pillars, including: leadership and talent pipeline, equal pay and gender pay parity, inclusive culture, anti-sexual harassment policies, and external brand.  

This year, Burberry performed above the average across leadership and talent pipeline, inclusive culture and external brand. The results have continued to highlight areas in which the Company’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy is successfully creating change across the business, including through the implementation of inclusive recruitment practices and the development of bespoke leadership programmes. At the same time, the results have also enabled Burberry to further identify areas of opportunity to grow and build on its support for colleagues and communities.
